Cookworthy Cup winner for the 2020-21 season

The draw for the 2020-21 competition took place as a Zoom call on Sunday 23^rd August at 5pm; first round byes were allocated to the highest-graded players in such numbers to ensure that there are exactly 16 players in the second round. At the time of the draw, it was hoped that by January it would be possible to play Cookworthy Cup games over-the-board rather than online. This turned out not to be the case, and as a result several players opting not to play chess online have withdrawn from the competition.

The Draw

The following deadlines apply for the completion of each round:

Games can be played sooner. For example, if you and your 2^nd round opponent can play your 2^nd Round game before the deadline, then go ahead - the dates above are the latest dates by which they MUST be played.

Pre-Arranged Games

Any Cookworthy Cup games which have been pre-arranged but not yet played are set out below. If you are logged in as a member you can record on this website a game that you have pre-aranged by clicking here.

Currently there are no outstanding pre-arranged games in the 2020-21 Cookworthy Cup.
