This week saw the first game played in The Cookworthy Cup knockout competition where Richard Thomas (70) came out on top in a tough match against Tony Collins (67).
In the internal leagues Steve Levy (187) outplayed Ben Wilkinson (141) to continue his 100 percent score. Who will stop the champion? James Fowler (106) threw away a certain victory against Cliff Peach (104), the match ending in a draw. Alan Davies (106) failed to maintain his own 100 percent record when Arthuer Doble (93) Cleverly snatched a draw from the jaws of defeat. David Archer (166) managed a win against Roy Greenhalgh (104). The game of the week though has got to be Ken Ashby (98) vs Barry Sweetman (60) where both players rode a topsy turvy rollercoaster of possibilities until finally, with a crowd around, a draw was agreed.
