Press Report 13th December 2019

This week the Newton Abbot 'Bishops' were the visitors to play South Hams in Division One. A very close encounter it was too with 3 of the 4 games ending in draws; Steve Levy vs Alan Brusey, Dennis Cowley vs Andrew Kinder and James Schofield vs Bradley Holland. Steve Dickinson managed to beat Paul Miller on board 3 though and that gave the victory to South Hams overall.

In the Dunleavey League Roy Greenhalgh (104) dismantled Ken Asby (98) to stay above him in the table. In the Homan League Trevor Hurt (96) and Cliff Peach (104) had another titanic struggle but neither side managed to break through and they shared the point. They also find themselves level in the table with 2.5 points each.

In the M-Wray Shield Richard Thomas (70) is going from strength to strength. This week he took down James Fowler (104). A great result! The other game saw Alan Davies (106) get back to winning ways by defeating Barry Sweetman (60).
