Overall Match | 731 | 3-3 | 652 |
The match score was a 3-3 draw. Teignmouth go through to the next round by board count (the under the tie-break rule by which each team counts the board numbers where they have won; the team with the lower score goes through).
According to Steve:
- his game was a "bore draw" (likely story!)
- David mis-played a move and was struggling after that
- Ben played well against a higher-graded opponent and could even have won
- Ken's game went right to the end, with both players only having a couple of minutes left on the clock, at which point Ken erred
- Barry was "South Hams player of the evening", playing a very sound game
- John also played very well, making a mockery of his grade.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable evening, with a good atmosphere. Good luck to Teignmouth in the next round.
