Somehow I saw Rob Wilby as "a face" and was expecting a tough game, after all this was board #2 against seed #1!
The game went into a deferred fried liver attempt, Rob moved pawn to d5, having gone via d6 and me making the additional move h3.
I was surprised by his response of
At move #16, I thought I noticed Nd4. This took me by surprise, but apparently my response was the best move.
At move #16 I thought I saw a blunder and thought I could fork his Knight and Queen at move 16 with pawn to G4. I figured he doesn't blunder so thought long and hard. Then I noticed he could escape by pinning this pawn and then I'd have weakened the pawn defence around my king.
I kept all my pawns till move #30 by which time Rob had only got 3, and so I was happy to exchange one to expose his King more.
The chess.com analysis gives no blunders and just one "great" move.
That great move was to castle. Apparently to castle the opposite side as Rob, t'computer really liked.
I got an 88% accuracy, and it's ever flattering rating was 2250, verses Robs 1950!

I gained 23 ECF points at Exeter, to bring back to the Regal to then distribute them out to you guys!

I'll do analysis 2morrow.

I noticed I was a pawn up early and decided to keep it, and ended up occasionally eating Robs Pawns.

With 4 out of 5, and only loosing to a higher rated player, I imagine I'd gain 25 or so ECF points.
